What is a B Corp?
B Corp is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or USDA Organic certification is to milk. B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. In short, B Corp is the future of doing business for good.
Why become a B Corp?
Because for many, we want to be part of something bigger than ourselves- to redefine success in business.
Individually, B Corps meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability, and aspire to use the power of markets to solve social and environmental problems.
Collectively, B Corps lead a growing global movement of people using business as a force for good. Through the power of our collective voice, one day all companies will compete to be best for the world, and society will enjoy a more shared and durable prosperity for all.
But becoming a B Corp also makes business sense.
Most recently, Cabot Creamery Cooperative laid out the case for becoming a certified B Corp. Their article (published in the Harvard Business Review) offered perspectives from longtime B Corps like Ben & Jerry’s, Patagonia, and Klean Kanteen. Read the full article here!

Where to start? How does it all work? Is becoming a B Corp right for your organization?
Many companies believe in the movement of B Corp but lack human resources to make the leap. We support companies through the certification process along with B Lab (certifying body) and support sustainability strategy immediately following certification. We help companies leverage B Corp to become better companies over time, beyond simply the rubber stamp.
